I think I figured out how to do a catch all for our weekly Writing Club posts!

From now on, this will be the place to find out what the week's prompts will be, as well as the place to post your drabbles. As we've been doing, on Sunday's I'll put up the new prompts - but from now on, they are going to be posted below, in a comment to this post! If you wanna participate for that week, simply respond to the prompt comment with your entry. SIMPLE!

blahblahblah, here's the usual about rules and such one last time...You have up until next Sunday night to post your drabbles in a comment to the appropriate prompt comment. Comments will still be screened until Sunday - or until I feel like everyone who sounded interested in writing has submitted - whichever comes first. Then I'll unscreen them and everyone can read together!

Please put which prompt you chose in the header of your comment. And if your prompt ends up containing any mature content or anything that may be trigger worthy, please put a warning in your header, as well.

"You can share the bed with me, San-chan."

Bandou immediately pulled a face that showed he was a more than a little weirded out by that offer. Or - it would have if his face wasn't 75% obstructed by those giant, black sunglasses. Luckily (or perhaps rather unfortunately for anyone in the immediate area), there was always a loud verbal accompaniment paired with any opinion Bandou had.

"Wh-what?!"

Shouhei simply cocked his head to the side, silently asking what the issue was.

Bandou switched to rubbing the back of his neck through his hoodie. "I mean...isn't that gonna be awkward? Sharing a tiny little futon togeth-- eh!!"

Perhaps mid-sentence wasn't the best time to peer around his ~~competition~~ friend to see this bed they might be sharing, because apparently, pettiness takes precedent over completing thoughts. Nestled comfortably in the corner of Shouhei's room was a huge western style bed that looked like it could hold four people, if you jammed them in close enough!

And here's where the neighbors would have been rudely woken up by obnoxious, petty shouting, if it hadn't all been going on inside Bandou's head...

...OH COME ON! Figures Shouhei's got a bed like this! I don't even have a place to live right now and he gets to sleep on something like this every night?! I had to sell my damn futon just to have some cash in my pocket. Not that it matters since the stupid thing was thin as fucking paper! How the hell did he afford that thing, anyway?! Tsk. He probably had it growing up - got it from his parents and they let him take it with him when he moved out.

Damnit...

And the idiot just has to go and offer to share with me. Just like that. How the hell am I supposed to justify being petty and jealous if he's not even gonna make me sleep on the floor or couch, or something?? DAMNIT SHOUHEI!! JUST BE AN ASSHOLE FOR ONCE!!

While all this petty rambling was going on inside Bandou's tiny little mind, all Shouhei could hear on the outside was some incoherent sputtering.

"I could sleep on the couch if you wanna take the bed...?"

Shouhei offered with a smile. He probably should have looked more concerned at his friend's inability to form words, but this was San-chan, after all. Things like this weren't really all that strange with him.

Luckily, this second generous act of Shouhei's snatched Bandou's attention away from his inner thoughts. Nonono, he needed to take control of this situation. No way Shouhei was gonna have a larger bed and call all the shots tonight!

"Tsk - fine, we can share."

He tossed his backpack onto the huge mattress, claiming his spot.

"You should be grateful your sempai's so generous. Forget the couch, I could make you sleep on the floor, ya know."

Shouhei just laughed. San-chan would always be San-chan.

ok actual sleepy time comes along...
shouhei uses a sound machine.
bandou's like WTF IS THAT?! I CAN'T SLEEP WITH THAT ON!!. makes him turn it off.
they go to sleep
shouhei can't fall asleep at first. thinks he may be able to (hears faint white noise like fridge or something). is almost asleep but then sanchan starts snoring and mumbling in his sleep and being very restless - tossing and turning and whatnot.
eventually shouhei nudges him fully awake and asks him if he's having trouble sleeping.
sanchan's always slept this since he was little, but he goes and blames it on shouhei's weird western bed because he's mad and petty and dumb like that.
shouhei goes and suggests the sound machine again to help him sleep.
bandou argues it cause he doesn't want to be wrong but eventually goes along with it
they try a few and settle on the one of the sounds (crickets maybe idk)
bandou falls asleep in no time - no snoring, or anything.
content and happy he could help his friend, shouhei drifts off too.
